This is useful to assess cardiovascular risk in patients with moderate or high risk based on conventional risk factors. It is considered an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease and aortic valve stenosis. Currently, there is no treatment. Levels tend to be constant so generally only requires to be tested once. |
