Notes |
Units: results are reported as ng/L.
Ref range (99th percentile) for hsTroponin (TNT) is <14ng/L. However appropriate serial measurement of hsTNT e.g. at 3hr, 6hr, is recommended in the investigation of suspected Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). hsTNT >53ng/L is highly indicative of myocardial injury. Consult hospital guidelines on the use of hsTNT in ACS. Haemolysis can have a negative impact in the analysis of high-sensitivity Troponin T (hsTNT), therefore if a sample exceeds the heamolytic limit as set out by the assay manufacturer, results will be reported as NA (not available) in the EPR. |
