Investigation |
Estimated GFR (eGFR) is a calculation primarily based on creatinine levels, age and sex to give an estimate of the glomerular filtration rate as an indication of kidney function. It can be used as an index in the classification (staging) of Chronic Kidney Disease. An eGFR is calculated for every serum creatinine measured in our lab. |
