Test requests must be accompanied by a completed BRCA test request and consent form. Complete the form and forward to the histopathology laboratory for block selection. A pathologist will review the available material and select the most appropriate block for testing. A histopathology report should be provided with the block. A neoplastic cell content of >30% is required. If the neoplastic cell count is estimated to be <30%, an area on the H&E slide should be marked for macrodissection. Any H&E slide provided will be retained by the CMD laboratory. |
