Availability |

Vaccine-Induced Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia (VITT) Request Form must be filled out and sent with the samples for VITT testing. Samples must be received in the National Coagulation Laboratory, Centre for Laboratory Medicine and Molecular Pathology by 4pm Monday to Friday. Enquiries to 01 416 2049 during routine hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The Coagulation Consultant Haematologist on-call can be contacted through the hospital switchboard at 01 410 3000. The Platelet Factor 4 Induced Platelet Activation Assay (PIPA) is referred to the Institut fur Immunologie und Transfusionmedizin, Universitatsmedizin, Greifswald, Germany. Results are available 48 hours post receipt in external laboratory. |
