Notes |
This request form must be filled out and sent with samples for HIT testing. All requests for HIT must include the 4T pre-test probability score. Samples must be received in National Coagulation Laboratory, Centre for Laboratory Medicine and Molecular Pathology, by 4pm Monday - Friday. Enquires to 01 416 2049 during routine hours, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. The Coagulation Consultant on-call can be contacted through the hospital switchboard on 01 410 3000. The Heparin Induced Platelet Aggregation (HIPA) Test is referred to the Institut fur Immunologie und Transfusionmedizin, Universitatsmedizin, Greifswald, Germany. Results are available 48 hours post receipt in the external laboratory. |
