ADAMTS-13 activity assay = same day for samples received before 1pm Monday -Friday. Samples received after this time will be analysed and reported the following working day, unless an urgent result is required. This will require authorisation from the Coagulation Consultant on call. IgG anti-ADAMTS-13 assay = 14 days from receipt in external lab. |

Notes |
Samples must be received in National Coagulation Laboratory, Centre for Laboratory Medicine and Molecular Pathology, by 4pm Monday - Friday. Enquires to 01 416 2049 during routine hours, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. The Coagulation Consultant on-call can be contacted through the hospital switchboard on 01 410 3000. Samples requiring the ADAMTS 13 antibody assay will be forwarded to The Doctors Laboratory, London for analysis.
