Routine monitoring of DOACs is not recommended. A level taken at 2-4 hours after a dose will represent a peak level. A level taken 24 hours after the last dose of Rivaroxaban is considered a trough level. Samples must be received in National Coagulation Laboratory, Centre for Laboratory Medicine and Molecular Pathology, by 4pm Monday - Friday. Enquiries during routine hours Monday - Friday 9am-5pm to 01 416 2049. The Coagulation Consultant on-call can be contacted through the hospital switchboard on 01 410 3000. Reporting units = ng/ml. |
