Notes |
Patients should be well hydrated for 2 hours prior to obtaining sample. During period of hydration urine should be discarded. The next voided urine should be collected, preferably after mild exercise and submitted for cytological examination. Early morning samples should not be sent as they show marked cellular degeneration.
Second Voided urine of the day, indicate if catheter, Ileal conduit or washing from bladder or upper urinary tract. |
