Clinical Information:

IgE sensitises Mast cells and Basophils which causes the release of histamine and other imflammatory mediators.
In addition to Allergic disease, raised IgE can also be found in parasitic diseases, Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA), Churg Strauss Syndrome and Hyper-IgE Syndrome.
