Useful for: Diagnosing an autoimmune or inflammatory disease of the skin. Some of these conditions include: Systemic Lupus Erythematosis (SLE), Bullous Pemphigoid, Pemphigus Vulgaris, Dermatitis Herpetiformis and Lichen Planus. Clinical Information: The skin/mucosa of patients with an autoimmune or inflammatory disease of the skin often contain bound immunoglobulin, complement and/or fibrinogen. Please Note: For optimal results, a peri-lesional (uninvolved skin containing an active border of a new lesion) is required. Please contact the laboratory on 01 4162925 or 01 4162924 to arrange the receipt of a biospy. |
